EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques
Helping to Release Emotional Stress and Restore Balance
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), often known as Tapping, is a gentle therapeutic approach that combines modern psychology with principles drawn from traditional Chinese medicine.
During a session, specific acupressure points on the face and upper body are gently tapped whilst focusing on thoughts, emotions or situations that may be causing distress. The process can help calm the nervous system, reduce emotional intensity and create a greater sense of balance and wellbeing.
Originally developed in the 1990s by Gary Craig, EFT has become a widely used wellbeing tool that can be used both within therapy sessions and as a simple self-help technique at home.
